ARISTA MURAL
This Mural is painted on a 21’ x 13’ interior wall at the Arista Wine and Spirits located in Broomfield, CO. The client wanted to create some custom typography for the wall and incorporate some of the landmarks a traveler might encounter on their way from the Denver airport to the First Bank Center, an arena located just a couple blocks from the liquor store. The arena hosts frequent concerts and events, which brings customers into the store from far and wide.

THE PROCESS
Since the plan was to put a typographic lockup at the center of this piece, I decided to start the design process there, and design the rest of the mural around it.
The type reads “Nil Sine Numine” which can be translated to “Nothing Without Providence”, and comes from the Colorado state seal.
Once the design was complete, I used a projector to accurately trace the design on the wall in pencil before painting the final 12 color piece.
